Weekly Winners...

Okay, so maybe I'm cheating, but it's all good. (At least I'm actually posting on Sunday this week!) Most of these pictures are so old, no one else would claim them anymore anyway. These are all pictures that I scanned this week. I got to dig through old pictures and yearbooks in preparation for a surprise 60th birthday party for my dad. These are just a few of my favorites...

1949...He looks just like my 20 month old nephew

The Golden Years

High School Stud...in 1967, anyway

Love...my parents at their rehearsal dinner

Sideburns and Giant Bow Ties
or
A Totally 70s Wedding

Our Family...I'm the infant

Weekly Winners

Well, I'm not really sick this week, so I guess I'll blame my day-latedness on...Daylight Savings Time!!! Losing an hour really threw me off, especially since I spent all of Saturday with my nephews...7 years old and 20 months old. I didn't come away from that with much energy to spare.

Against the Odds

Just Like Big Brother

Concentration

In the Spotlight

Under Wraps

Weekly Winners - Better Late Than Never Edition

Being sick really throws a person off her game. I really just have one picture to post, but I wanted to make sure and get it on here. This is my nephew at his 7th birthday party. He is holding a book that he requested to get. Upon opening said book, his response was, "Yes! I really wanted this one!"

Believe it or not, we do raise Democrats in Kansas!!!

Weekly Winners

My pictures this week have a theme. We went to the Obama rally in Kansas City yesterday. If you're not interested in politics, oh well...

Amazing speaker!

New American citizen, inspired first time voter. That's what it's all about!

There is hope for our future!

The crowd backed up all the way to the Monument. Approximately 75,000 attended the rally in KC.

Weekly Winners...

I love the way the sunlight makes the picture look almost sepia-toned. I also love the way Bella (the not-quite-9-pound wonder dog) sleeps using anything available for a pillow. I hate to admit it, but I take more pictures of the animals than anything else!

This is from the gardens out at Lake Shawnee. There's just nothing like climbing into the garden, with plants poking you in places that you'd rather not be poked, to get the perfect picture.

I love water lilies.

Clouds and light are personal favorites of mine. I love how the sunlight is just bursting from behind the cloud!

I can't remember if this on was the second or third attempt to get into the chair. I love how he slapped his book up there first. He obviously had a plan. (This is my nephew, Dylan, by the way.)

Ah, success!

Weekly Winners...

An afternoon nap...

I just love how the light plays with the clouds!

It just looks too good to be real, especially with the winding road in the distance.

If I had a better camera, you could see that this was a double rainbow. I love the color of the sky!
